Black-Oxide Surface Treatment
Wirtz Wire EDM LLC utilizes the industry standard hot-dip black oxide process that forms a black Fe304 magnetite finish on all iron and non-stainless steel parts. The result is a protective black finish with an attractive gloss black appearance.
Our black oxide finish complies with Military Spec MIL C 13924, Mil C 46110 AMS 2485.
Wirtz Wire EDM, LLC utilizes the latest process to be environmentally friendly, although more expensive, our system contains no heavy metals, carcinogens or other EPA regulated materials.
